The Defenders of Dreams Heritage Center is being developed as an inspirational, educational and entertainment destination that will feature a rich combination of history and first-person accounts that chronicle our nation’s past and present, celebrating the men and women who have made it great.

Designed to be more than just a museum of yesterday’s events, the Defenders of Dreams Heritage Center will inspire visitors with relevant, timely accounts that shed light on the sacrifices made by civilian and military personnel who have taken an oath of office to protect and defend our Constitution. Spanning more than 225 years of American History, the Heritage Center will include a comprehensive assembly of documents and speeches, along with audio, video and pictures of those individuals who have brought the American model into existence. The latest audio visual and computer technology will be utilized to complement the rich content of historical facts presented, and will present the material within a captivating, interactive environment.

Located in the heartland of America near the crossroads of interstates I-35 and I-40, the Defenders of Dreams Heritage Center will display two main themes of the American experience: the price in human life and suffering that has been paid by those who have fought for liberty, and the pride that Americans have in their accomplishments as a nation on the stage of human history.
